From the warm-up lap to the post-race interviews, this is Sky Sports’ live broadcast of arguably the greatest World Superbike race ever: the second leg at Monza in 1996. A race-long battle between the Castrol Hondas, Troy Corser, Colin Edwards and Pierfrancesco Chili’s “private” Ducati. As this race proved, Chili’s bike was anything but a private entry, becoming the first machine to break the 300km/h barrier. Your commentators, as ever, are Keith Huewen and Julian Ryder, and I can think of no better team to cover this classic race. This is the first of three live broadcasts that I will be uploading. I won’t be doing any more after that, due to a severe lack of bandwidth, but to keep the channel updated regularly I will be posting any new footage I find, plus race recaps of domestic Superbike series.
